When absolutely nothing but the biggest will do, Belorussian equipment maker Belaz has the truck for you. The company recently introduced its 75710 dump truck, designed for off-road use in mining operations. If you think the Ford Super Duty has an impressive payload at 7260 pounds, this beast crushes it by a factor of more than 100 with a payload of almost a million pounds, or 992,000 to be exact.
The 75710 is powered by a twin-engine series hybrid diesel powerplant, with twin 65-liter MTU V-16 diesels producing 3650 hp and more than 9000 lb-ft of torque each. That power is routed to a Siemens MMT500 AC electric motor drive system to turn all eight of its 13-foot-tall tires.
Top speed on the big dog Belaz is just 40 mph, but when you're hauling around 793,600 pounds unloaded, that's fast enough. The company is attempting an official Guinness World Record claim of having the world's largest mining truck.
